Madrid rescued from embarrasment by Ramos and Mariano
This was the first time since 2014 that Madrid had started a La Liga game with neither Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema in their line-up, and they were indebted to late goals from Mariano Diaz and Sergio Ramos to set up a new club record of 35 matches unbeaten
Real Madrid were rescued by late goals from Sergio Ramos and Mariano which saw them beat Deportivo La Coruna 3-2 .
After a very poor start, Zinedine Zidane's men took the lead five minutes after the break when Alvaro Morata sent it in sailing from a distance.
But Deportivo were quick to their feet, just after the hour mark, Joselu blasted a goal into the top corner from the edge of the box
Two minutes later, Deportivo were 2-1 up. Again, Joselu met Florin Andone's pass into the box and got it past Navas.
Mariano, 23, looked to have rescued a draw when he headed a Lucas Vazquez cross into the net, but Sergio Ramos as usual was on hand to turn in a corner in stoppage time.
